Causes of Ink Foaming

1. Various chemical additives and auxiliaries are incorporated into the ink system, which tend to generate foam under stirring and mixing.

2. During printing, excessively high machine speed introduces a large amount of air into the ink, resulting in continuous foam formation.

3. The ink contains foam-prone surface-active components, and its high viscosity makes foam difficult to break and eliminate naturally.

4. Unqualified water quality used in the preparation process, together with unstable operating pressure, further promotes the generation of foam.

Effects of Ink Foam

1. Foam leads to uneven dispersion and unstable quality of the ink.

2. Excessive foam reduces the efficiency and speed of ink production.

3. Foam causes surface defects during printing, such as incomplete patterns, pinholes, and poor coverage.

4. Overflowing foam wets printing paper and affects normal machine operation, leading to extended production time.

5. Long-term foam problems can also cause abnormal wear and potential damage to printing equipment.

Usage and Precautions

1.Addition: According to different use systems, the addition amount of defoamer can be 0.05%-0.3%, and the addition amount is determined according to specific conditions; 

2.Packing: This product is packed in 25/200/1000KG plastic drums;

3.Storage: Sealed and stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place indoors. Before use, the container should be strictly sealed after use. About 25℃, the shelf life is 12 months

4.Transportation: This product should be sealed well during transportation to prevent the ingress of impurities such as moisture, strong alkali, strong acid, rainwater, etc.
